MEET JAN KLUTH

An accomplished multifaceted entrepreneur, C-suite executive and former artist/ghostwriter, author Jan Kluth possesses unique experience, success and insight into the intersection of music, media, technology and brands in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.

As JV partner and Global Head of Business Development for Austin, Texas-headquartered music, marketing, merchandise, e-commerce, ticketing, fan community and USB/microSD wristband live recording start-up All Access Today, Jan was instrumental in the domestic and global expansion and subsequent sale of the company whose clients included Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus and The Rolling Stones.

Upon moving to Los Angeles and spending extended periods of time on business in Asia, Jan segued into being at the forefront of the global K-Pop movement as the first non-Asian Managing Consultant for JYP Entertainment where he conceptualized, negotiated and/or executed numerous successful music, touring and branding projects with pan-Asian superstars, such as the Wonder Girls, 2PM and Rain, the three-time winner of TIME Magazine’s annual list of the world’s 100 most influential people.

Returning to Germany thereafter, Jan became a high-level consultant for globally leading media conglomerate ProSiebenSat.1 Media and spearheaded their entertainment unit’s efforts in building a brand partnership division and making direct signings of international superstars to their in-house music company. Additionally, he was the ideator and conduit for ProSiebenSat.1 Digital’s $100+ million acquisition of U.S. multi-channel network and talent management company, The Collective, whose clients included Linkin Park and Enrique Iglesias, among many others.

After becoming a partner in leading European digital/content/celebrity/influencer marketing company, ALPHA POOL, and conceptualizing, negotiating and/or executing numerous successful projects with clients such as Samsung, Toyota and Bacardi and artists such as Rita Ora, Paris Hilton and Kelly Rowland, Jan returned to Los Angeles and became the CEO of extremely successful serial entrepreneur Jonathan Kendrick and multi-billionaire philanthropist John Paul DeJoria’s company, BANDERO Tequila, and their purpose-driven Smart Cities venture, ROKiT Cities, thereafter.

Educated in Germany, the US, UK, Spain and France, Jan holds three business degrees from colleges and universities in the UK and Germany and is fluent in four languages. His more than two-decade long experience in the most important areas of the music business (touring/live, brand partnerships, merchandise/licensing, publishing, recorded music) has given him an in-depth understanding of and perspective on the global music industry.
